College Stress/ Negative: Preview
College
students today are often finding the need to figure out a career in just a
two-year time span, while also adding on a 20-hour work week, extracurriculars
to build a resume, 15 credit hours, and having a social life as well—all packed
into a seven-day week.
It
is inevitable that the human being faces stress in their every day life,
however college students allegedly seem to be facing it in larger doses.
When
people think of stress, usually negative images come to mind. This can be
things such as negative health habits, and an inability to focus and
work efficiently.
A
survey done at Michigan State University, showed that 67 percent of students
faced stress in their life in the last year, and 33 percent of students claimed
that it was difficult to focus due to feeling depressed at times.
When
looking into what students felt about their own stress in pertaining to this
information— MSU students—may just be the perfect group of students to ask, due
to the previous statistics being based off of them.
