Once Michigan State student Shannon Leary returned from her sorority chapter meeting she was ready to finally start cooking her favorite dinner: garlic breaded chicken and an added garlic cauliflower. The cooking process was off to a rocky start when Leary was preparing the seasoning for her chicken, and accidentally burned the garlic in the microwave. But this didn’t stop her, as she kept moving and started over. Eventually, when she got her chicken breaded and ready, Leary decided to cook some cauliflower on a whim—for an added tasty and healthy bonus. Eventually Leary threw her food in the oven and was anxious for it to be ready because she was starving. Once her food was all done and ready to eat she sat down to dig in while watching an episode of Friends on TV. To Leary’s disappointment the chicken wasn’t as good as she had hoped—coming to the conclusion she may have breaded it too much. “That’s such a bummer.” Said Brittany Mankowski , a friend of Leary

Shannon Leary , a Sophomore at Michigan State University, has been looking forward all day to cooking a healthy chicken dinner tonight. Leary, like most college students has a very busy schedule throughout the week, and isn’t able to prepare many elaborate meals—due to such a time crunch. Leading her to be so excited to have a home cooked meal tonight.     Leary loves cooking recipes of different variety: cookies, fried rice, calzones and more. However, the garlic breaded chicken that she plans on making, has to be one of Leary’s most common dishes that she makes in her apartment.   “It's so easy to make and it doesn’t take long in the oven, and it is healthier than a lot of things,” Leary said in regards to this being a common dish. She made sure both her chicken was thawing and ingredients were prepared—in the hopes that this meal turns out great just like the rest.
